Job Description
Join our growing team based straight out of Wendy’s headquarters! As Art Director, you will collaborate with Saatchi and Wendy’s in efforts to elevate creative outputs both for online and real-life customer experiences. You will get the opportunity to conceptualize, present ideas, and execute assets for in-restaurant experience, digital ads, online videos, radio and more. Be a driving force to our creative teams, partake in Wendy’s creative growth and collaborate with amazing Wendy’s partners.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and execute designs for 360 campaigns including email, web, online video and more
Sets high creative standards while developing strategic and unique designs
Be accountable for development of creative work that is consistently sound, and of excellent caliber
Communicate with clients to gather feedback, change requests and negotiate design direction
Ensures that creative presentations to the client meet the highest professional standards
Manage workload for assigned book of business to maximize the productivity and quality of work from the creative staff
Conceive and create experience in design solutions that meet client objectives
Effectively communicate creative concepts and strategies to both clients and our internal team
Design comps, storyboards, initial graphic concepts, and final deliverables
Brainstorm and develop campaigns while working with clients on multiple projects at once
Collaborates effectively with Account Management, Planning and the broader creative team to develop disruptive and iconic work
Develop graphics for in-store assets
Assist with other creative duties as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an Art Director, Design Lead or equivalent
Ability to concept and work in execution of both traditional and digital designs
Excellent graphic design, illustrations skills
Contemporary design style showing up-to-date design trends
Ability to create, enforce and maintain style and brand guidelines
Excellent presentation and client communication skills – ability to negotiate and eloquently provide design direction
Proficiency in Adobe CC, as well as additional supplementary design tools like Sketch, Figma, etc.
Ability to take feedback, collaborate and promote a collaborative, creative team environment
Agency background – or background with national restaurant brands
Excellent portfolio with 360 campaign work including web, email, video and more
Solid knowledge of steps required in creative development process: provides guidance to achieve creative direction; gives timely and helpful coaching; and produces all work in a timely, cost-effective manner
Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience
Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills
