Copywriter Internship (Spring 2024), The Walt Disney Company

Location: Glendale, CA

Job Summary:

The Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling editorial, content and storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create compelling storytelling and big ideas across properties.

  • Collaborate with Character Artists and Designers.

  • Participate in brainstorms, to come up with smart, innovative, and breakthrough ideas.

  • Work collaboratively and effectively with internal partners

  • Contribute and participate in brainstorming sessions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Art, Design and Storytelling. Writing is a plus.

  • Understand the principles of storytelling, writing, and concepts

  • Extensive knowledge of storytelling

  • Pro-active / Can-do attitude

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

All Character Artists and Visual Designers on the team.  VP and Director of Visual Design & Branding, VP and Director of Character Art and Story, executive level leaders at Pixar, Disney, Marvel, Lucas, Tim Burton, Muppets and Channel, WDI, Entertainment, Food and Beverage, Yellow Shoes and Product Design.
