Art Director Intern, Bose

Location: Framingham, MA

Job Description

ABOUT BOSE

You know the moment. It’s the first notes of that song you love, the intro to your favorite movie, or simply the sound of someone you love saying “hello.” It’s in these moments that sound matters most.

At Bose, we believe sound is the most powerful force on earth. And we’ve dedicated ourselves to improving it for nearly 60 years. Ever since our founder, Dr. Amar Bose, bought a stereo system and thought, “I can make this better,” we’ve been relentlessly pushing forward to the next best thing.

Innovation is more than what we do. It’s who we are — constantly learning and constantly curious. We never stop imagining what better sound sounds like. We’re music fanatics and audio engineers. We’re explorers and inventors and dreamers. And we’re passionate down to our bones about making whatever you’re listening to a little more magical.

THE PROGRAM

We're looking for students to join our Co-Op Program who are obsessively curious about 'what's next'. You'll get hands-on experience with our products and learn from the best of the best in the business. You will immerse yourself into Bose for 6 months and get the opportunity to grow the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. By the time you end your time with us, you will have been given the opportunity to truly make a real impact in the future of Bose and your career!

Opportunities don't stop at your day-to-day work. While you're getting an in-depth look at your area of expertise, we'll expose you to other areas of the company. Our Co-Ops are given the opportunity to connect with senior leadership across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll network with other Co-Ops and colleagues to grow your network for the future!

Timeframe - January - June 2024

THE ROLE

We're looking for an Art Director Intern to tell stories that engage our customers... and deliver results.

In this role, we'll pair you up with a Copywriter Intern to form a creative partnership. Together, you'll work alongside an experienced creative team to develop relevant and compelling creative work that’s infused with insights. You'll get an inside look at what it takes to design phenomenal experiences and produce work that gets noticed.

Here's what we believe you're like:

  • You're passionate about designing experiences brilliantly.

  • You're a critical and creative problem solver who's able to connect dots, identify themes and trends, and can adapt communications for different audiences across various platforms.

  • You want to know what makes our customers tick. You are interested in how to use those insights in your work.

  • You appreciate the elegance of simplicity.

  • You're all about that balancing act between speed and attention to detail -- you're both quick and precise.

  • You are motivated by ideas and exciting results.

  • You're a designer who's excited to learn more about the craft of design and art direction.

  • You've got samples or a portfolio of work that shows your talent and potential.

Must-haves:

  • Must be a current college student studying Advertising, Journalism, Communications, or related field

  • Ability to work on-site in our Framingham headquarters, 3 days a week.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, photography, video editing, or other related creative tools/systems/skills is a plus.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Please include writing samples and/or a link to your website or online portfolio (if you have one) with your application.

Applicants should be prepared to share and discuss their own creative work. While co-op roles are often filled by actively enrolled college students, we are open to recent grads, graduate students, folks in (or finishing up!) portfolio school/similar programs, people with portfolios looking to transition into the creative field, etc. If you got creative chops, drive, and knack for storytelling, then we wanna meet you.
