Job Description

David Yurman Internship Program

The David Yurman Summer Internship Program is a paid, 10-week learning experience in which interns collaborate closely on company projects and initiatives in their respective professional areas of interest. Interns also work in teams throughout the summer to develop their capstone project, which is presented to our senior leadership team at the end of the summer.

Title- Women’s Design Intern, Design Projects Team

Reports to- Manager of Women’s Design

Overview

David Yurman is looking for a Women’s Design Intern, Design Projects Team Intern to help support the Design eam. The selected candidate should have outstanding interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative approach.

What you’ll do

  • Supports team in execution of design projects from 3D design through product development stage
    Provide administrative / system support of design development (create products in PLM, costing request uploads, Oracle and PLM support)

  • Conduct systematic and physical filing and archiving, including, but not limited to processing, sorting, and organizing stones / components from mockups

  • Assist with inventory management and meeting preparation

  • Occasional assistance in creation of mockups or photoshop images

  • Assist with Design meeting prep (e.g., help to organize room, prepare meeting documents)

  • Ensure the Design workspace is organized physically and systematically, including inventory management

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, Illustrator.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in jewelry design is preferred.

  • Creative aesthetic in keeping with that of the David Yurman brand.

Education

Must be currently enrolled in undergraduate studies in a related field with a 3.0 overall GPA minimum

  • Preferred for intern to be currently studying design or related field.
