Associate Creative Director/Writer, GSD&M

Location: Austin, TX (Relocation Support Offered)

FIRST AND FOREMOST: Create award-winning work that grows our clients’ business.

WHO YOU ARE: Multifaceted team player who goes back and forth between making brilliant work on your own, leading teams on specific projects and building strong client relationships

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 8+ years’ advertising experience and the skills to match

  • Strong experience with broadcast, radio and digital production

  • Portfolio website with examples of produced work, including TV and interactive

  • Ability to manage and complete projects with minimal supervision

  • Some supervisory experience within a creative department

  • Responsible, humble leadership skills

  • Experience successfully presenting and selling your ideas internally and to clients

  • The ability to think on your feet and come up with solutions in response to client feedback

  • Razor-sharp written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive, self-motivated and dependable work ethic

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Passion for advertising and staying up to date on the latest, greatest work

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and trends

  • Enough cultural fluency to make work that connects with a diverse range of people and an eagerness to learn more

WHAT YOU’ll DO:

  • Concept, create and sell campaigns across all platforms (TV, print, digital, social, etc.).

  • Fire off and develop more and better ideas that hit the client ask more quickly than a mid-level or even senior creative.

  • Write for any media and quickly capture any brand voice.

  • Lead projects with minimal supervision.

  • Guide creative teams and help them make their work better every step of the way.

  • Work well alone, with a partner and with others on your client team.

  • Find opportunities to make great work on projects large and small.

  • Create engaging presentations to sell your ideas.

  • Sell your ideas and your team’s ideas internally and externally.

  • Turn feedback into even better work and help your teams do the same.

  • Juggle multiple projects, clients and deadlines without you or your team dropping the ball.

  • Nurture, lead and motivate junior creative talent.

  • Foster and maintain client relationships.
