Art Director, One Main Financial
Location: Baltimore, MD | Wilmington, Delaware | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Our Creative Marketing team is seeking an experienced Art Director with exceptional design chops to create best-in-class creative output through motion, video editing and static designs. This individual should possess a strong ability to distill complex ideas into simple, elegant solutions through refined and expert level of design, typography, layout, storyboarding and craft. They should also be able to articulate creative strategy and why they make the choices they make.
In the Role
Partner with marketing managers, copywriters, creative directors, and key stakeholders to create cutting-edge, beautifully branded marketing materials
Video and animation concepting, producing and editing
Creation of cohesive design solutions that solve for both business and user needs
Utilize tribal knowledge of social media utilizing channel best practices
UX skills in other channels such as web, email and mobile
Independently gather information, research, and data needed to generate innovative designs based on purpose, intention, and brand standards
Understand and respond to marketing strategy in order steer the direction of design solutions, iterations, and optimized approaches
Work independently and collaboratively to iteratively create concepts that are progressively refined, honed, and tightened throughout the creative production process
Work with project teams to build deliverables and assets that ensure design is rendered as intended in final format
Work with project teams and designers to streamline workflows
Proactively create and champion brand standards to ensure brand look & feel is consistent
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in design, fine arts, digital media in related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience designing branded materials across a variety of media; agency experience preferred
2-3 years of experience leading projects independently or with a team
A diverse portfolio of work that demonstrates design thinking and experience across multiple mediums, including digital and print.
2-5+ years of video and animation experience
Knowledge of user experience, digital platforms and digital products
Strong fundamental design, typography, color theory, layout, and illustration skills
Experience sharing strategy, principles, and best practices behind design choices
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, and other design/video creation tools
Exceptionally organized, with a keen eye for detail
Experience working with and enforcing brand standards
Experience managing creative projects with clients and/or stakeholders
Passionate and curious about current design and technology trend, particularly in social
Expert communication and presentation skills
