Creative Digital Artist Intern (Summer 2024), Tesla - Est Pay: $20/HR - $50/HR
Location: Hawthorne, CA
What to Expect
This position is expected to start in-person around May or June 2024 and continue through the entire Summer term (i.e. through August/September 2024) or into early Fall 2024 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Please consider before submitting an application.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the Team
As a member of the Visualization Team, you will be responsible for the design and creation of pre-rendered and real-time photorealistic automotive and product imagery, animations, digital assets and environments. Your work has the potential to be seen on a global scale, helping influence people and communities to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
What You’ll Do
Rendering high quality, photorealistic advertising content
Art direction and collaboration with leadership to create visually stunning imagery
Creation of realistic and fictitious digital assets and virtual environments
Optimization of CAD data and assets
Environmental atmospheric and lighting setups
Material/texture generation and virtual material prototyping (PBR pipeline)
What You’ll Bring
Currently pursuing a degree in relevant area of Digital Production
Great portfolio displaying your passion as a Digital Artist
Artistic and excellent technical knowledge in Unreal Engine is a must
Basic level knowledge in Animations/Films/Cinematography/Photography
Basic level knowledge of PBR based workflows
Willingness to learn, think innovatively and display initiative
A passion for learning new tools/techniques and open to exchanging knowledge
Ability to understand color, visual compositions and lighting
Accustomed to going above and beyond whilst working within tight deadline
Excellent communicator, team player, resourceful and organized.
Highly motivated and proactive
Knowledge of traditional 2D/3D software (e.g. Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Zbrush, Photoshop) preferred
Character rigging/animation preferred
Photogrammetry knowledge preferred

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $50.00 + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
