Content Creation Intern, SGK

POSITION SUMMARY

SGK is seeking an Intern to join in a multifaced role focused on supporting document review, technical writing, training material development, participation in Kaizen initiatives, and collaboration with our Learning and Development team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various operational facets and receive specialized training within the industry. This is a $20/hr paid internship for summer 2024. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Document Review 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and analyze documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

  • Organize and maintain a structured document repository for easy accessibility.

  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement in document management processes.

Training Material Development

  • Work closely with subject matter experts to create engaging and informative training materials.

  • Develop multimedia content, presentations, and guides to facilitate effective training sessions.

  • Ensure training materials align with organizational goals and standards.

Technical Writing

  • Create clear and concise technical documents, manuals, and procedures.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical information into user-friendly documentation.

  • Ensure all technical documents meet industry standards and best practices.

Kaizen Participation 

  • Actively participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.

  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas of process improvement.

  • Contribute ideas and assist in implementing changes to enhance operational efficiency.

Learning and Development Collaboration

  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to understand training needs.

  • Support the development and execution of learning programs.

  • Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

•    Current enrollment in graduate or undergraduate degree program in a Technical Writing, Creative Writing, Industrial Engineering or Human Resources related fields at a recognized college or university
•    Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document management tools.
•    Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
•    Interest in process improvement methodologies, particularly Kaizen principles.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

•    Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk, hear and see.  
•    Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. (Standard is 10lbs, modify as needed)
•    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
