Assistant Strategist, Omnicom Media Group - Est. Salary: $34K - $60K

Strategist Position Overview

As an Assistant Strategist, you will be stepping into a global media governance position which involves tracking local market activity, reporting, data analysis, trend and insight identification, and client services – ultimately helping the client track and evolve the implementation of their global media vision. This position requires strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, organizational skills, the ability to handle and prioritize multiple workstreams, relationship building skills, and effective communication/writing skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Media investment governance

    • Assist in implementation of our internal planning tool (PlanIt) and collect media plans from local markets to integrate them into reporting. An understanding of media plan flow chart, YoY analysis, and building graphical representation is important

    • Skills: Ability to learn and effectively use internal software, train local markets, project manage inputs from global markets, use pivot tables, build charts, and present a story from the data

  2. Global deals pacing support

    • Collect, review, revise, and track spends to ensure client markets are pacing toward agreed upon goals with Global Digital Partners and ensure commercial benefits are received

    • Skills: Ability to manipulate large data sets, strong knowledge of Excel, ability quantify the data, take lead role in comms, and effectively check data for errors

  3. Competitive reporting

    • Coordinate data and manage builds for competitive reporting to create both a numerical and written analysis of automotive trends with actionable insights

    • Skills: Qualitative data analysis, working with pivot tables, strong knowledge of Excel, effective research skills, and strong writing composition/ability to synthesize and summarize

  4. Research

    • Build out best practice case studies, research media strategies and industry trends in digital and data-driven precision marketing

    • Skills: Strong understanding of using keywords / online resources, experience with online research platforms such as WARC and GWI, strong knowledge of PPT and an understanding of design principles for effective presentation and storytelling, some understanding of automotive or luxury industry a plus

  5. Billing support

    • Assist billing team in invoicing clients, organize ad hoc billing projects, and track all transactional activity from quote to vendor payment

    • Skills: Ability to build and maintain trackers and manage client relationship

  6. Media activation

    • Assist in set up of ad hoc paid media campaigns on global social platforms, including utilizing Prisma, communicating with Partner Reps, and with the support of a manager reporting and presenting campaign KPIs and insights

 

Compensation Range:   $34,000 - $60,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
